XQ Institute Activation & Roadshow
Reimagining High School, One Story at a Time
If you had the chance to redesign high school from scratch, what would it look like?
That simple but powerful question sparked the creation of the XQ Challenge, a nationwide open innovation initiative inviting Americans to rethink public high school education—and submit bold ideas for new school models with the potential to be funded and built.
To ignite this movement across the country, we helped launch the XQ Roadshow: a multi-city activation designed to surface community insights, elevate local voices, and invite everyone—students, educators, parents, and policymakers—to take part in the conversation.
At the center of the experience was the Truth Booth, a custom-built mobile recording studio where people could share their personal high school stories and visions for the future. The booth traveled to nine U.S. cities, anchoring a series of place-based events that brought together diverse local stakeholders and sparked dialogue around what high school could be.
From community leaders in Oakland to students in New Orleans, the XQ Roadshow helped bring thousands of perspectives into the fold—proving that the future of education isn’t just something to imagine, but something we can co-create, together.
